If you haven’t been to a Third Friday Art Walk in downtown Medford now is your chance to go!  My wife and I find ourselves downtown almost every third Friday to enjoy the art walk and experience Medford come alive.  It is also easy since 541Lives offices are right in the middle of the action!  One of our favorite stops is the Downtown Market Company.  Many times they have wine tasting and food pairings.  Check their website for details.

The Rundown: The Third Friday Art walk is a self-guided tour that will take you through Main Street featuring local art galleries, art studios, museums, wine tasting, food pairing and much more on the third Friday of every month begining at 5:00pm -8:00 pm.

This is a monthly event that brings together friends and members of the community to the heart of downtown Medford to socialize, eat, drink, listen to live music and make new discoveries in Old Town.

This event is organized by the Heart of Medford association.

Come listen to a musical leader in Southern Oregon since 1973. The Rogue Valley Chorale has performed many of the great choral works of Bach and Bernstein, Mozart, Handel, Vaughan Williams, and many more. Due to the success of the 2011 world tour celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Peter Frampton’s multi-platinum selling live album Frampton Comes Alive!, the tour has been extended and will come to Medford’s Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater on Monday, Mar. 19, 2012 at 7 p.m.

The three-hour show features a complete performance of Frampton Comes Alive! that the Montreal Gazette describes as “a highly-spirited and expertly-played recreation of the live album.” Frampton will also perform other highlights from his catalog, including his Grammy® Award-winning instrumental album, 2006’s Fingerprints. Of the tour the Los Angeles Times says “…the British virtuoso is still making sweet music” while the Santa Barbara Independent describes Frampton’s set as “pleasing those who came to hear the hits and impressing the musicians in the crowd with his still-smoking guitar chops.”

More than 6 million copies sold in January of 1976 when the not-especially-well-known British rocker released the live double-album. Frampton Comes Alive! ruled the airwaves with hits like “Baby, I Love Your Way” and made Frampton an overnight sensation. Over 16 million copies have sold to date.
