Los Arcos Authentic Mexican Food
Have you ever had real, authentic, Mexican food in the Rogue Valley? We have at Los Arcos! Los Arcos, located in an inconspicuous area of Medford, and most likely you’ve driven right by it, is home to some of the best authentic Mexican food! Authentic did we say? Si amigos!
The low- key atmosphere mixed with great food means you don’t need to get “dolled up” to come to this establishment, just bring your appetite, your family, and be ready for some Mexican culture!
Tacos galore, but gringo don’t be disappointed when your taco comes with your meat choice, onions, and cilantro and you were hoping for a huge pile of cheese, lettuce and salsa! Nope, this is the traditional and authentic style, and as Martin, owner of Los Arcos puts it, ” you want the flavor of the meat, not the cheese and all the other stuff!” The tacos are typical of what you’d have in Mexico, perhaps you had while on vacation from a taco stand, or perhaps you are like me, who grew up around traditional Mexican culture and food, so this is a taste of home! Whatever you pleasure, you will find a multitude of choices, 17 choices of meat to stuff that tortilla to be exact! So, if you like chicken, carnitas, and/or lengua, (beef tongue, and don’t turn your nose until you’ve tried it- you’ll be pleasantly surprised), you are sure to find a flavor to satisfy your mexican food craving! During the week, most patrons come for their tacos, chile rellenos, and burritos. Try a Mexican soda pop, Fanta or Coca Cola in a huge glass bottle ( the beverage case is behind you when you’re ordering up front), or have a margarita or Mexican beer! Their chips and pico de gallo salsa is also very flavorful!
On the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, you’ll enjoy traditional Mexican style food, posole, menudo, and homemade tortillas. Would you like some ethnic diversity? Come on Sundays for a bowl of Menudo and bring your bilingual skills, because on the weekends, Los Arcos turns into a predominately spanish speaking restaurant ! Marcos, said its a culture shock for some people (gringos) and a comfortable place for local Mexicans’ to enjoy traditional mexican food and relax with la familia!
Super family friendly! Bring your kiddos, you don’t have to worry about keeping your kids quiet.
Tip: Order the flan for dessert! Delicioso!!!
541live fun fact: This a a family affair!
