Stay tuned! If you have any information you can send it to us anonymously through our contact us page!

August 5, 2010 Medford, Oregon
A rumor at this point, In-N-Out may be moving north..  into Medford! Word is they pulled permits for a new store in the West Main Area of Medford. While In-N-Out won’t confirm the Medford rumors, they have confirmed they are bringing new stores north… into Oregon.

Why would this be good for Medford? While it’s not locally owned – the company is a solid, privately owned company who prefers to own their stores. Since the company was established in 1948 – they’ve only closed 1 store. The restaurant will draw residents from throughout the Rogue Valley – and possibly beyond.

In-N-Out was founded 62 years ago in the Los Angeles suburb of Baldwin Park by Harry and Esther Snyder. Still a privately held company, it operates more than 240 restaurants in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.

541Live Tip: Can’t possibly wait for the Medford store to arrive? The nearest In-N-Out Burger is in Redding

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

  1. Drew says:

    My favorite part of In-N-Out:
They have no freezers. All their produce and meat is delivered fresh EVERY morning. Also, their starting wage is $10! Can’t wait for them to move in!
I’m thinking by the new South Medford Interchange or the Old Big Y Interchange (Northgate Shopping Center?)

  2. Joe Hunkins says:

This is great news! Love those In n Out Burgers!

  3. Ron & Marilyn Peltola says:

We can’t wait for In-N-Out to come to Oregon. Maybe after Medford, one near Portland????

  4. john says:

i grew up in southern cali and now im in salem i need in-n-out here! it drives me crazy the longer i dont have it the more i want it! i make people visit and bring it with them or they cant stay in my house!!!

  5. Lee Travis says:

I moved from La Grande, Oregon to Baldwin Park, Ca in 1955 I was only 5 years old. I think that IN-N-OUT was my first burger that I ate. Back then all of there stores were drive throughs and if you did not want to eat in your car they provided picnic benches for their customers. If you asked for a Coke their response was “will Pepsi do”. Their first store that had inside seating, I think, was in Lancaster, CA the high desert north of LA. In 1965 we moved to San Dimas, CA were the Snyder family lived. Many good memories going to IN-N-OUT. Double Double with Grilled Onions Please and yes a “Pepsi will do”

  6. Sara says:

Hell yeah! I’ll come to Medford from Bend once a week to eat there!! :D no joke!

  7. BDX says:

In n out is coming to Oregon, they are building a distribution center in pdx & are eventually going to service Washington as well

  8. Todd says:

    Awesome, hope it’s true!

  9. April says:

Having an In-N-Out here can only be positive. Their starting wages are better than any other fast food restaurants that I know of. Plus they don’t freeze anything, it’s all fresh and hand prepared; and boy, can you rate the difference!

I really hope they’re going to bring one here because my family has wanted one for over 12 years. If they can open one in Texas, they can open one here!

  10. Antonia says:

We have to go to Ashland every 3 months. It would be awesome if In n Out came to Medford!

  11. Arghun says:

I’d loveto see Inn-n-out in Roseburg, or even better in Coos Bay / North Bend …

  12. elaine wooden says:

please come to Eugene Oregon..my huge family all are from CA and we all miss you

  13. danbo says:

Though I want them to come, at this point I’m not holding my breath. This thread started over 2 years ago with the idea that they were going to open in Medford. Well, it’s been 2 years, and I still don’t see one. Plus, if they open a distribution center in PDX or elsewhere in Oregon, I’m betting they’ll open a bunch simultaneously (like I think they did in Texas). I’d bet Eugene, 1 or 2 in Portland and 2 or 3 in Seattle area.

  14. Cathy says:

First a Trader Joe’s, and then an In-n-Out!!! What more could a person want? I’ll never move!!!!!!!

  15. Timothy says:

Dreams really can come true :D hahaha Please come to Medford, OR so I don’t have to move to California.

  16. Rn says:

    Here we are – March / 2013, ..

    …AND NADA!

I think that pretty much closes down this rumor. LOL.

  17. R.A. Pennington says:

So much BS and speculation once again rears an ugly head. I HATE RUMERMONGERS. This kind of crap only exceeded by I-N-O’s inability to grasp the fact that a whole region, the PNW, which is FULL of former Californians and has plenty of people who travel to California, constitute a VERY profitable market. If an I-N-O can be placed in rinkydink Buttonwillow CA and make money, why not place them along I-5 in Oregon and Washington, where a ready market awaits?

Oh, the new owner who inherited the chain, your typical rich didn’t earn it on her own SoCal girl, would rather build a $10 Million-plus mansion.instead of focusing every last erg of her energy on building out a chain. Time waits for no one Linzi and if you don’t snag the hearts of folks now, someone will come along later who will and that cuts into PROFITABILITY. I have seen a new chain of about 40 stores who sell a decent charbroiled burger in SoCal. New chains are developing in Oregon like Little Big Burger. Tick…tick….tick goes the clock and no matter how rich you are, you cannot buy more time.

  18. CJ says:

This rumor is false my mom called there main office they sayed they have no plans on building up here its a shame
