The Rogue Valley knows how to celebrate 4th of July! With many parades, firework displays, festivals and fun-runs – this day will not disappoint. How will you celebrate?

Medford:
Red, White and Boom! Medford is host to the largest firework show in Southern Oregon and will be held at the Jackson County Fairgrounds (Exit 33 off of I-5, 1 Peninger Rd, Central Point, OR 97502)

Gates open at 4:30, A jet flyover at 8:40 will kick off the show followed by fireworks at 9:30. Admission is FREE!

Ashland:
Ashland’s Fourth of July celebration starts early and is an all day affair! View our complete guide to Ashlands 4th of July Festivities here!

Ashland Parade: Ashland is host to the biggest city parade, with the parade route going right down Main St. The parade starts at 10:15 at Triangle Park and runs down Siskiyou Boulevard to East Main Street… ending at Water Street.

You CAN reserve your spot along the parade route beginning at 6am on July 4th. There will be posted signs will full details – brink blankets or chairs, tape, flags, etc… to draw your boundary. This is a competitive sport – be respectful & courteous… this is nothing short of a land grab!

Ashland Parade viewing tips: It gets hot on the route, with no-shade and limited water. Come prepared with hats, walking shoes, water, sunscreen. Parking is tricky after 7:30am. Best bet is to bike or walk in. There is a FREE shuttle running from Albertson’s parking lot to downtown Ashland every 30 minutes.

Ashland Fireworks: Fireworks will be launched from the athletic fields at Southern Oregon University – starting at about 10pm. Fireworks will be viewable around town. For the best viewing: Garfield Park field, Ashland Middle School, Walker Elementary School.

Ashland Run: The 36th Annual 4th of July Run in Ashland will take place on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.  Registration opens April 17 to June 15 (to get your free t-shirt) or through Sunday, July 1, 2012 until 3pm only.  To register follow this link: http://www.active.com/running/ashland-or/ashland-4th-of-july-run–2012

Two routes are offered:  a 10K run (6.2-mile)  and the traditional 2-mile run/walk. Both races will have the same start time: 7:47am (clever time). The routes are scenic and on closed roadways. Central Point 2nd Annual, “Run 4 Freedom” – a 5K Fun Run!

Date:  Wednesday, July 4th, 2012
Time:  Packet pick-up at 6:30 am.  Race starts at 7:30 am.
Where:  300 block of East Pine Street (between 3rd and 4th Street).
What:  5K easy fun run out and back on paved roadway.  Route includes scenic Hwy 99.
Entry:  Pre-registration by June 3rd, 2012:  $15 includes a short sleeved t-shirt.
*After June 3rd or day of race:  $20 – t-shirt included only while supplies last.
Aid:  Water provided at race turn around (half way point).

Restrictions:  ABSOLUTELY no roller blades, roller skates, bicycles, baby joggers, dogs, head phones, in-line skates or unregistered participants due ot insurance issues.

Parade: The parade route is in downtown Central Point on Pine Street and begins at 9:30 am with a flyover scheduled for 9:40 (warn your little ones and we’ll see if they come this year!), and ends at 11:30.

Expo Event: Bring your friends and family to the Expo to help celebrate our nation’s birth and have some fun!

What?
It’s going to be the biggest fireworks show ever in Southern Oregon. The event is brought to you by the City of Central Point, the City of Medford and The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County, The Expo, and many local business sponsors. Admission is free.

When: Wednesday, July 04, 2012

Where: Jackson County Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point, OR 97502 (specifically at the Lithia Motors Amphitheater inside the Expo)

Time: 4 pm-10pm

Children will have the opportunity to participate in exciting games leading up to the firework show. Concessions are available so attendees can feast on delicious snacks and meals prior to the explosive fireworks display. An F-15 jet flyover will kick off the fireworks (well let’s hope so this year!). Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
No outside food, drink or alcohol is permitted.

Eagle Point:
Eagle Point 4th of July Festivities includes a fun run/walk, breakfast, festival, parade, live music, fireworks and more!

The 4th of July celebration is an Eagle Point Community Association Event. The events will begin at 7am and carrying on throughout the day ending with a firework show that will begin at dusk.   1. On Friday, July 2nd at 7pm in the Grange Co-op parking lot there’s a pre-4th of July party and firework display, plus FREE BBQ and music by the Soul Bread band. Bring the family to this FREE community event put on by Discount Fireworks.

    Don’t forget about the FREE shuttle that will be running every 30 minutes from Albertson’s parking lot to downtown Ashland.

    There will also be a fireworks show in Glendale this year, at dusk at the high school, with a parade and a small festival beforehand, just in case anyone’s interested. It should be a good show!

    THE EXBO IS CLOSED THE TRAIN FOR THE LITTLE KIDS RAN OVER AN 90 YEAR,S OLD LADY WITH HER GRAND SON BABY TOBBY IS IN THE HOSPITIL . THAR CLOSED FOR 5 YEARS SO TELL EVERY BODY AND DONT COME BACK
