I found Perfect Happiness… at the Hong Kong Bar!
Yep, our bartender was serving up Perfect Happiness – a refreshing mixture of cherry vodka, rose syrup and fresh squeezed lime juice with a sugared rim to boot. Specializing in unique, freshly squeezed juice cocktails, their expert bartenders are always inventing and perfecting unique drinks.
We stopped by the Hong Kong Bar for a cocktail and snack over the weekend and were thrilled with what we found. The current specials included an appetizer sampler – choose any 3 for $15. The portions were generous; it was enough food for a light summer dinner for 2.
So, if you are looking for a libation establishment that features the freshest ingredients for special drinks … this is it. The Hong Kong Bar is a bit hard to get to – but the short elevator ride just off the Ashland Plaza is worth it.

If you’re considering Hong Kong for the nightlife and are over 22, don’t bother. This is not a place for adults.
Additionally, the food’s crap, the dee jays are meh, and they seem to have a policy of not allowing people back in for reasons of capacity—even if your credit card is at the bar for an open tab and you left only to walk a friend to her car.
In fairness, they do make a decent mojito. But that’s not enough to bring this local back. Ever.
Agree with very77. Used to be better. I had my bag stolen there on Friday – last time I go there at night.
