Yogurt Hut

Move over Dairy Queen and Baskin-Robbins. There’s a new kid in the chilled treats industry, right here in Southern Oregon. Yogurt Hut is THE place for a healthy treat.

Since opening in May of 2009 at 140 Lithia Way in Ashland, Yogurt Hut has been proudly providing locals with many delectable self-serve frozen yogurt flavors and multitudes of toppings. They have since expanded to Medford at1345 Center Drive, Suite D.

What makes frozen yogurt such a great treat? Frozen yogurt is richer in minerals and nutrients than ice cream. Yogurt Hut uses YOCream soft-serve yogurt products that meet and exceed the National Yogurt Association’s criteria for live and active culture yogurt, so they are rich in probiotic content. Yogurt Hut also provides numerous options, such as lowfat, no sugar added, and non-dairy products.

Each week Yogurt Hut provides ten different yogurt flavors, rotating and mixing up available flavors at their two locations. What may be available at the location in Ashland may not be available in Medford. So be adventurous! Visit both locations! Some of Yogurt Hut’s savory flavors are Peanut Butter (my FAVORITE of course!), French Vanilla, Mint-York Peppermint Patty, Luscious Lemon, Praline, Very Raspberry, White Chocolate Macadamia, Blueberry, and Dutch Chocolate. Their dairy-free sorbet list includes Kiwi Strawberry, Mango Tango, Very Berry, and Pomegranate Raspberry.

After choosing your flavor (or flavors, you can choose as many different combinations of flavors as your heart desires!), stroll down the topping isle and pick out your favorite treat toppers, ranging from fresh fruits, gummi bears, chocolate chips and marshmallows, to nuts, hot fudge, fruit syrups, sprinkles, and so much more! After creating your edible masterpiece, take it to the cashier and they will weigh it. At a bargain of 39 cents per ounce, you can enjoy as little or as much as you wish.
